An opportunity to donate and support several local and regional good causes and organizations

The SBRO is organizing a large collection drive for several charitable organizations. The complete list of items needed will be updated here as they become available.

Items we are collecting include:

Canned and Non-Perishable food
Especially Coffee, Boxed Milk (Parmalat), Chef Boyardee, Jelly, Pasta Sauce, Rice, Canned Meats
Personal care items (soap, shampoo, body lotion, etc)
New and unwrapped toys
New and unwrapped books and coloring books for preschool and elementary school-aged children
New backpacks and school supplies for children
Unexpired food for Cats and Dogs
New and gently used books for Resume Writing, Job Hunting, Career Planning
Shampoo, deodorant, snacks, socks for Care Packages for Soldiers (more specific information here)
Gently used, clean clothing.

This event is an “Open House” style day, open for the public to bring items to donate. Speakers from some of the organizations will talk about their good causes, and other community leaders and special speakers will introduce themselves and thank you for helping out.

Special Guest Donna DePinto, Mrs. Middlesex County 2017, will make a very special donation of “Purses Full of Hope” to a women’s support organization.

The full schedule of speakers will be announced here as soon as possible.

A preliminary list of organizations who will be featured at this event include: South Brunswick Food Pantry; Franklin Animal Shelter; United Way; Jersey Cares; South Brunswick Lions; Jewish Family Services; and the Salvation Army.
