Letter to the Editor of the
South Brunswick Post
Appearing in the 10/12/06 Edition
To the editor:
The dominance of the local Democrats over the past 10 years has been
in large part achieved by a super abundance of campaign
contributions from the Middlesex County Democratic machine headed by
John Lynch. That machine was and is rolling in money supplied by a
strong pay-to-play scheme that goes on to this
day. It is public knowledge that during the
past five years $1,500 of those dollars were sent directly to the
South Brunswick Democrat Party directly from John Lynch's personal
Political Action Committee. This is the very fund that figured so
prominently in making former Sen. Lynch a convicted and
soon-to-be-imprisoned felon. These are tainted
dollars. These dollars are sent to former Sen. Lynch's political
slush fund from people with an ax to grind and favors to seek in
return for those very dollars. Some of these dollars are connected
with the felonious attempt in South Brunswick by former Sen. Lynch
to influence decisions on behalf of the local sand company, for
which he was convicted. Give these dollars to
charity Mayor Frank Gambatese and Councilman Chris Killmurray.
Follow the lead of your colleague, Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein,
who gave $2,000 of Sen. Lynch's money away. These are shameful
funds. Make them less shameful by giving them to charity. They
should not be added to the already obscene amount of money and
in-kind funding the county Democratic machine is still pumping into
the local Democrats. It is this amount of money, over the years,
that has contributed to one-party rule in this
town. If people agree with me, they should send
us an email at
sbgop.org and protest the pattern of
bribe funding of South Brunswick Democrats.
